Exterior insulation and finishing systems (EIFS) are multi-layered exterior wall systems that offer superior energy efficiency, durability and are adaptable to a variety of architectural styles. EIFS offer very flexible applications and can be used on both new and existing residential and commercial structures.   Our EIFS features Tytan Professional and Caparol products.

Developed in Europe in the 1950s, EIFS typically consist of a water-resistant base coat, which is applied on top of a layer polystyrene insulation and reinforced with fiber glass mesh for added strength. The durable and crack-resistant finish coat is then applied, which is available in a series of textures and finishes.

The materials and application process of EIFS work together to create a virtually impenetrable barrier around your building. When installed, this resilient product can drastically reduce humidity and wind penetration, which stabilizes the building’s interior environment and reduces corrosion as well as excess energy consumption. In fact, EIFS can reduce your building’s air infiltration by as much as 55 percent as compared to standard brick or wood construction. On an existing structure, EIFS can lower consumption of heating fuel by up to 28 liters per square meter of the building per season - a significant savings.
